PATRICK HUNTER JOINS FOUR OTHER MOORPARK MAYORS TO ENDORSE DAVID POLLOCK FOR CITY COUNCIL
The campaign to elect David Pollock for the Moorpark City Council today announced that Patrick Hunter, Moorpark’s popular immediate past and longest-serving mayor (1996-2008) joins former mayors Leta Yancy-Sutton, Moorpark’s very first mayor, Dr. Clint Harper, John Lane, and Bernardo Perez in endorsing David Pollock for City Council in the May 19th election.
The former mayors have not always agreed on every issue, but they are united in their belief that David Pollock is the most qualified and best suited candidate for the City Council.
Mr. Pollock has served as an elected member of the Moorpark school board the last fourteen years, including three terms as board president.
Patrick Hunter commented, “David has always recognized that the city and the school district share the same constituency. As mayor, I could always rely on David’s perspectives for ways the city and schools can work together. He is a skilled problem solver.”
Dr. Harper agreed, “It was my pleasure to serve on the Moorpark school board with David Pollock for four years before I returned to the Moorpark City Council. David impressed me as an intelligent, articulate and compassionate leader who is also a very good listener. As a member of the school board he was a leader and consensus builder who looked at all sides of an issue before making a decision.”
Mr. Pollock’s campaign had previously announced endorsements from current Moorpark City councilmember Dr. Roseann Mikos, as well as from every member of the Moorpark Unified School District board: Bruce Thomas, Greg Barker, Ron LaGuardia, and Ute Van Dam.
